This article is about a preliminary list of jobs that you can try this year 2021, the different websites where you can apply to and the range of salary for each home based job.
1- Online Tutor:
The first I'll be discussing is being an online tutor. Or an online English teacher. Until now ESL is very much alive. Most newbies of work from home usually start from this. Because what you'll be doing is to teach other Asian students English over the Internet.
There are many websites where you can apply.
what else? There. Typically, they claim is you can earn up to ₱85,000 as an online English teacher. But based on what we talked about before, when we interviewed Jhazel de Vera, if you know her, the ₱80,000 is hard to achieve unless you really don't rest. So it is achievable, it's possible but still, if you're looking to just work just 8 hours a day typically, you can earn ₱30-40,000 in a month. Because they have bonuses, they are all different. It depends per company.
2- Audio to Text Transcription:
If I were to choose a favorite online job that is the most viewed among our previous videos, it's all about transcriptions. So why are people drawn to transcription? Because it's easy. What you'll do is listen to an audio file and convert it into words.
So you type what you hear. The payout you'll get in transcription isn't that high. It's a paper job. It's not like ESL where you have something to wait for every two weeks or every month. Or other online jobs that have contracts. Usually, when it comes to transcription, what you transcribed is what you're going to be paid for. I've shared so many transcription websites on our channel and all of them are paying and legit.
The cons with transcription apart from the pay that isn't that high, is they have a standard to follow. If we don't follow or reach that certain standard, we may not get paid. It's kind of scary, right? Because, of course, you'll be investing time and effort so your effort might not get paid. Especially, if it's not up to their standard. Because they have a format they follow. Be careful with transcription jobs. But again, those are paying. I already shared proof of payments from previous transcription websites. I'll put all the links below so that you can find them and try them if you're interested.
3- Social Media Manager:
This is under the umbrella of being a virtual assistant which I've also discussed in many ways. By being a social media manager, you'll be managing social media like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube of our clients.
You can offer these services on your own as a freelancer DIY. You can email small business owners if they need a social media manager.

The nice thing about it is that the pricing of your service is up to you. So you can look, of course, on UpWork, Fiverr. There are many, just so you can compare how much is the payment. 4- Virtual Assistant:
Up until now, there are still many virtual assistants. There are a lot of types. The most general is an admin assistant. Or the typical secretarial job where you'll do the work of typical secretaries in offices.
For example, arranging files, organizing files. The life of being a virtual assistant is very happy because you're just at home, and you're working sitting in a chair, very comfortable. You don't need to go to the office to work. So being a Virtual assistant is very rewarding and it is one of the jobs I always recommend that if you can apply for it, then, yes, you should go for it and try it.
5- Online Recruiter:
Being an online recruiter is the same as a VA. I already did it before. Because there are more and more openings for different kinds of work from home. Of course the companies, clients, the business owners are looking for recruiters to screen their applicants.
If you're a psychology graduate or if you have previous experience in recruiting, or managing people, working with people, then I suggest you looking into being an online recruiter. Cons of being an online recruiter that I experienced, let me share it with you, is we had a quota when I was recruiting, in which within a week we needed to hand over a certain number of resumes and out of those resumes, there needs to be a certain number of applicants who are qualified.
Online recruiters have metrics. But if you're the type who knows where to find talents, skilled people, then, yes, online recruiter is for you. So online marketers or digital marketers. Digital marketer is also a big umbrella. We have email marketers, meaning they email potential clients. The newsletters or the promotional materials you receive in your email are scheduled but they weren't written by themselves. There are people who do that and design them. So those are called email marketers.

mple, you replied to those which you can reply to, there are people who reply to them. So those are the particular jobs of an email marketer. Since the job isn't that intensive, also your salary isn't that big. But it's one of the jobs where you have your time in hand. So email marketer, then the telemarketer, of course, it cannot miss.
Outbound sales that call looking for potential buyers or potential clients for the business of their own client. So there. There are so many different kinds of marketers. Now all the marketing are-- All the ads are online, right? FB ads, Google Ads, YouTube ads, so you can find all types of marketing online. So if you are really good at that, you know what will be successful and is compatible with the people watching, then go for it.
6- Freelance Writing:
If you like writing, if you have a creative mind, you can create a blog. Or I have a website, Text Royal, if you're familiar with them.
They changed their screening process a bit.So they're stricter now. But the website is still there. Actually, Text Royal is GoTranscript sister company. They still hire writers to do the services they offer. So if you're interested in writing, if you have a creative mind, you can try it there.
7- Proofreading:
You don't write unlike freelance writers. But what you'll do as a proofreader is correcting the mistakes or errors of the writers.
For example, they did a blurb or what we call called short write-up for a certain online material. What will the proofreader do is checking if what is written is correct. Like punctuation, spacing, hyphenation, capitalization, and everything. Grammar and more. So all that is on the proofreader.

The next is chat support. I only know two websites. Directly and HelpFlow.

9- Graphic Designer:
Apart from being a virtual assistant, I also work as an online graphic designer. This is the nice thing about working online. You can have more than one job and add a part-time one. So I'm working as a part-time graphic designer wherein I'm being paid-- I'll just share I'm being paid about $5 per hour. So it's not that big. It's because I do very simple things. I'm just creating marketing materials for different schools abroad. So that's the only thing I do for them.
For me, $5 is more than enough.Considering that the workload isn't that heavy, and it is also up to me when I'd like to do it. So I'll just log in my time. So that is my experience as a graphic designer. If you also want to be a graphic designer, here are the list of websites where you can apply and look for a job as a graphic designer. It depends on the designs you'll do or how complicated it is, if you need After Effects or if it also has video editing.
Of course, the price will be higher. But if it's just simple photo editing or layouting, then the $5 per hour are fine with me.
Next is something that also excited me in 2020.
10- Voice Over Artist:
Being a voice over artist. Right now, Voice Over Flowers, Kath, they're accepting-- I think they have a giveaway or gift, where you can be a voice over scholar. So check out their Facebook page. But being a voice over artist, you can be paid per project. She does voice overs for different types of products. Of course, per project and per sample there is a payment. So that's how you can get paid.
She said that it's up to you as an artist how much to charge your services. I can't put an exact amount you can earn from it. Maybe if you're just a beginner, you can charge $100 per project. She said that it ranges from ₱5,000 to ₱10,000 or even more, especially if you have a lot of sample work. Because one the things about an online job is your online portfolio or your digital portfolio they'll base upon that if your ratings are suitable.
So something like that, right? So if you are into voice over acting, or you feel like your registered voice is nice, or even if it isn't, it can be trained. It can be improved. You can learn. So if you're interested in this job, you can apply on these websites.
Summarizing the Article:
The last thing I'll share you can try, if for example, you can't pass to any websites or if you can't get a client right away, I would advise you to try vlogging or being an influencer. If you feel like you can influence or if you have a certain appeal to the majority of people.
For example, on Instagram, if your photos are really good. On TikTok, YouTube, there are a lot of YouTube vloggers nowadays. Being a YouTuber for me is one of the most rewarding things that I decided to do. I didn't imagine that we will get to this point.
So again, I totally recommend it. It's not gonna be an easy start. Even I had a hard time establishing a presence online. But it's definitely, definitely, definitely rewarding. Passive income, so the views of our previous videos still carry on. Although I haven't been uploading much, I still got an income or extra income from YouTube. You can also get it once you decide to be an influencer or to be a YouTuber.
If you don't like YouTube-- Actually Facebook, I also shared this last year, Facebook also pays ads. So even my husband who wasn't able to upload anything last month on his channel, he still earned from his Facebook ads. Facebook's and YouTube's systems are great in rewarding their content creators.
