All signs are pointing in the direction of a sequel to the hit battle royale game coming as early as this year if it isn't a direct sequel it will be at the very least a battle royale successor to pubg which released back in 2017 and has gone on to become one of the best battle royale experiences available for gamers. 

This news comes after a south korean report from late last year claimed that crafton parent company of pubg was working on a new game set in the pubg universe called project extreme and this project was highly likely to be PUBG 2.

Now from an article on bloomberg according to kim jong-han the crafton ceo the company plans to release a new battle royale mobile title this year that will be based on PUBG, Another pubg related pc and console game by next year and a survival horror game in 2022 that will depict the PUBG universe three centuries into the future.

The survival horror game mentioned is the recently revealed the callisto protocol along with this the company's ceo kim jong-un told bloomberg that it also has plans for an animated show based on the game that will be uploaded on streaming services. 

It's quite a unique thing for a battle royale to receive a sequel games based around the battle royale game mode tend to just receive updates or in call of duty's case the game mode gets transferred onto the next installment in the franchise but there you have it.

PUBG 2 is on the way and i'm looking forward to it it's been a while since i played pubg but i used to love the game i just kind of got bored and i'd imagine i'm not the only one so now there is a sequel on the way i do sense a huge revival around the corner for the PUBG name and universe.

In addition to this PUBG 2 for PC & Console. Currently Chinese players play PUBG on International Steam "illegally." PUBG PC is still an unapproved game in China. Steam acts in a grey area allowing players to play games unapproved by China’s government. With the future release of Chinese Steam, which blocks unapproved games, the fear is that China's government will close access to Steam International in the future.

Hence, why I think the release of #PUBG2 may be inevitable. You could literally not be able to play PUBG in China within the next 2 years. And losing half your playerbase, is going to result in devastating consequences.
